A 26-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with an internet sex trafficking ring in Mt. Lavinia recently. Police said that the suspect is being remanded after being produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court yesterday.
A 15-year-old girl who was used in a sex trafficking ring has been charged with transporting her to various clients.
The victim's interrogation revealed that she had been sold to various people on a daily basis for the past four months.
Further investigations by the Police Children and Women's Bureau led to the arrest of the suspect who aided and abetted the internet sex trafficking ring.
